Some wedding ideas arrive quietly. Others crash into your brain and refuse to leave. This styled shoot was very much the second kind – a spark of an idea that grew into something bold, playful and a little bit wild.
With a heart firmly in the mountains and a camera always in hand, taking a wedding shoot to the snowy slopes of Zakopane, Poland felt like second nature. I’ve always believed that wedding days should reflect who you are at your core, not who tradition expects you to be. If you love adventure, movement and doing things differently, why shouldn’t that be written into your wedding day?
The vision for this shoot was an alpine disco – unapologetic glamour dropped straight into a winter landscape. Think après-ski energy with a fashion-forward edge. Winifred Rose Clothing brought the drama with statement bridal pieces that sparkled against the snow, proving that bridal doesn’t have to mean predictable. Sequins caught the light beautifully, bold florals cut through the icy backdrop and a show-stopping jumpsuit delivered retro confidence in the most effortless way.
This wasn’t about recreating a traditional wedding. It was about freedom. About movement. About choosing a day that feels exciting, personal and entirely your own. The kind of celebration where you’re laughing, skiing, freezing a little and having the time of your life – all while wearing something that makes you feel incredible.
If this shoot proves anything, it’s that there are no rules. Your wedding doesn’t have to happen in a venue. It doesn’t have to follow a schedule. And it definitely doesn’t have to look like everyone else’s. Sometimes the most meaningful love stories are told high in the mountains, in fresh snow, wrapped in sequins and lived exactly the way you want them to be.
