I had the opportunity to head south to Surrey to explore a new venue for me and boy it did not disappoint. I was greeted by the friendliest team of suppliers and the hosts at Millbridge Court took such good care of everyone.
Jessica Eliza Flowers started the day early by setting the scene adorned with the most stunning blooms, the palette of antique shades in purples, blush and whites had me squealing in delight. With a deconstructed approach to the floral arrangements it provided such an editorial stylish backdrop for the Bride, Groom and their guests. A floral arch framing the spot for the I Do’s and long wooden trestles adorned with bowls of carefully curated stems meant I could have spent the day just capturing the flowers!
However there was a gorge bride and groom to follow so after dragging myself away from the details I captured prep as it unfolded for Nina and her girls and David and his grooms women. Olivia Mills had the gang looking picture perfect before the ladies donned pale blue Bec and Bridge gowns in the brides party, and chic black Bec and Bridge gowns for the grooms party. Nina was helped into her Madi Lane dress from Farnham Bridal Boutique and radiated pure timeless elegance. The off the shoulder design paired with a low sleek chignon was perfection.
David was tailed down the aisle by Teddy the golden Retriever (Ninas Mum and Dads dog!) before a personalised heart felt ceremony was led by Helen the Surrey Celebrant. I really do vote for celebrant services, the stories told, the personal touches, the atmosphere they create is second to none and it’s a joy to watch it all.
After covering the couple in confetti, canapes were canaped and drinks drunk all whilst guests hit golf balls around the wedding themed mini golf course on the Millbridge Court lawn. We managed to dodge the rain for portraits and group shots with Matthew Quilliam serenading the crowd before the wedding breakfast.
With guests fed and watered the speeches began with Father of the bride, mother of the groom, Maid of Honour, Grooms women, groom and bride all taking centre stage. I am here for more of the girls standing up and sharing their tales!! Why do the guys need to hog the limelight!?
After switching out the veil for a flower crown, the night was rounded off with the cutting of the master piece cake created by Bloom & Crumb before ‘Just for the Night’ entertained the guests as they celebrated the newly weds.
Thank you to this kind hearted pair for styling your big day to perfection which made one photographer soooo super happy! Capturing this chapter for you was a joy from start to finish!
