Tucked away in the sun-drenched heel of Italy’s boot, Nardò in Puglia is one of those places that quietly steals your heart. The warm, honey-gold stone architecture, winding streets and golden light create the perfect setting for romantic, editorial-style bridal portraits.

I chose Nardò for this styled bridal shoot because it offers everything I love about photographing in Italy – texture, history, beautiful light and an effortless sense of romance. The ornate baroque buildings, carved doorways and decorative balconies give the entire town an almost cinematic quality – as though you’ve stepped onto the set of a timeless Italian film.

Every street corner seems to tell a story, and as a photographer it’s the kind of place where inspiration appears around every turn.  For me, this shoot was all about exploring what’s possible when beautiful locations, incredible styling and thoughtful direction come together.

The vision for this shoot was simple: timeless bridal elegance with a high-fashion edge.

The perfect model for the concept, Lorena wore a stunning gown with a contemporary, couture feel – a structured silhouette with soft draping and elegant detailing that moved beautifully as she walked through the Italian streets. To complete the look, Lorena carried a delicate bouquet, adding a soft, romantic texture that complemented the modern styling perfectly.

Styled shoots like this are more than just creative projects – they’re an opportunity to push boundaries and explore new ideas.  For couples planning their weddings, they’re also a chance to see what’s possible when beautiful styling meets thoughtful photography. Whether it’s wandering through Italian streets in the evening light, creating dramatic architectural portraits, or capturing quiet, intimate moments, these shoots allow me to experiment with storytelling and composition in ways that ultimately inspire my real wedding work too.

And honestly, it’s hard to imagine a better place for it than the romantic streets of Nardò.
