With roses in bloom and golden light stretching late into the evening, Liberty and Jonathan’s June wedding at Crockwell Farm was everything you’d hope for in an English countryside celebration. A day that was heartfelt, relaxed and completely centred around joy.

From morning prep right through to golden hour portraits in the fields, their day was a beautiful reflection of who they are.

The best thing about Crockwell Farm as a wedding venue is how seamlessly the whole day flows. Both the bride and groom got ready separately on site with their friends and family, meaning no rushing around – just calm, laughter-filled moments.  One of my favourite moments from the day was Liberty’s first look with her dad and her bridesmaids. Those reactions – pure pride, happy tears and big smiles – are exactly why I always recommend building a little breathing space into the preparation schedule.

At 1:30pm, guests gathered inside the beautiful barn for the ceremony. Bridesmaids walked first, followed by Liberty on her dad’s arm – a moment that always gives me goosebumps.

The ceremony was intimate and heartfelt, lasting around 30 minutes. As ever, my focus was entirely on preserving every glance, squeeze of the hand and tearful smile.

After the ceremony, everyone headed outside for a confetti moment on the atrium steps. We created a joyful tunnel effect – petals flying, guests cheering, Liberty and Jonathan absolutely beaming.

Relaxed drinks and canapés followed, while I focused on relaxed candid guest moments; before we then stole away for couples’ portraits.  June light at Crockwell is a dream – soft but bright, with the surrounding fields creating the most romantic backdrop. Liberty and Jonathan were completely at ease together, which made photographing them feel effortless.

The delicious wedding breakfast was followed by speeches from Liberty’s dad, Jonathan and his best man. There was laughter, a few emotional moments and plenty of applause – exactly how it should be.

As the light began to fade, we slipped out for golden hour portraits. June sunsets in Northamptonshire don’t disappoint – and Crockwell’s open fields give you that wide-sky, cinematic glow.

Those quiet few minutes together, away from the party, are always so special. The light was soft, the air warm and Liberty’s dress caught the breeze perfectly. A peaceful pause before heading back to the dance floor.

Liberty and Jonathan’s wedding was the perfect example of what happens when you combine thoughtful planning, meaningful family moments and a couple who are completely themselves. It was an absolute pleasure to capture it all!
