There’s something magical about Mallorca – the light, the warmth, the endless earthy tones – and The Lodge captures it all perfectly. Nestled among rolling hills and golden fields, it was the dreamiest setting for a styled wedding shoot with the gorgeous duo, Rhylan and Juan.
I travelled out to this stunning island for a photography workshop, ready to flex my creative muscles, soak up the sunshine and have a really good play behind the lens. And honestly? Mallorca understood the assignment.
The Lodge is a luxury eco-retreat with a quiet elegance, full of soft textures, natural stone and sweeping 360° views. Think rustic Mediterranean charm blended with modern minimalism – warm terracotta, soft neutrals and the kind of light that photographers dream about.
The design team behind this styled shoot leaned into the venue’s natural palette – understated Mediterranean elegance was the order of the day.
Rhylan and Juan showcased two beautifully contrasting looks, moving from sunlit elegance to evening glamour. Their first outfits were a coordinated palette of luxurious cream – Rhylan in a sleek satin column gown with a dramatic bow, and Juan in a relaxed, double-breasted cream suit. For their second look, they shifted into something more classic and refined, with Rhylan in a timeless off-the-shoulder gown and Juan in a modern tuxedo combination featuring a cream dinner jacket and sharp black trousers.
Together they were a total vision – stylish, serene and full of chemistry.
Trips like this are such a gift. They pull you out of your routines, push your creativity and surround you with people who love this craft just as much as you do. Being able to photograph Rhylan and Juan in such an inspiring setting was the perfect reset – light bouncing off sandstone walls, breeze catching fabric just right and a couple who couldn’t have been more wonderful.
Mallorca gave me everything: warmth, inspiration and the kind of creative spark that keeps this job feeling brand new. The Lodge is a venue I’ll be dreaming about for a long time.
If you’re planning a destination wedding or simply love Mediterranean vibes, this shoot is the perfect example of how natural beauty, thoughtful styling and a little sunshine can create pure magic.
