I thought I was well prepared, I knew in the weeks leading up this wedding that it would be an emotional one yet still I failed to control my tears…however it was matched by the laughter that also ensued. I adore each and every wedding but Tommy and Chloes big day has been one of my favourites. Thank You ‘You & Yours’ for having me as part of the team once again!
I knew Chloe from years gone by as one of my little sisters good friends…little girls having play dates no more and as I arrived at Chloe’s childhood home, where her wonderful Mum and Step Dad still reside, I realised that the once beautiful little girl was now a gorgeous lady about to get wed.
Chloe enjoyed a very relaxed morning getting ready where I squealed when I saw the stunning beaded Needle and Thread gown she was to wear. Chloe explained she hadn’t even set foot inside a bridal boutique. She found the dress online and it was the one! Hair and makeup done and all 4 bridesmaids and flower girl, decked out in beautiful Ghost dresses, all jumped in vintage VW camper vans to head to Chacombe Church.
A personal and heartfelt service was delivered perfectly by the Vicar to a packed out church. Here my tears began for the day and this wouldn’t be the last time! We enjoyed an almighty rain storm on the way to Fawsley Hall for the reception, but luckily the sun had his hat on for the rest of the day.
Fawsley looked beautiful as ever with fantastic chandeliers in the reception room and it’s immaculate gardens. The guests enjoyed fizz to receive the newly weds before sitting down for the wedding breakfast.
Next followed the speeches which inevitably did not leave a dry eye in the house. The love and connection within these families is incredible, they really are a tight knit bunch and the family just got bigger with Tommy and Chloe tying the knot. Chloe’s Mum beamed with pride as she also said a few words and Tommy’s pre recorded music video was just genius! The speeches ended with the best men delivering a knock out act where Tommy was definitely roasted but all in good taste and fancy dress was donned by various members of the stag. Great work guys!
We enjoyed a lovely golden hour making the most of Fawsley’s signature stone garden staircase and some action shots of Tommy smashing the heel click (thanks for being game Tommy!). The night for us ended with a lovely first dance…but I am sorry guys your Maid of Honour and Best Man stole the show with their live performance of Earth Wind and Fire ‘September’. It had everyone on their feet and smiling really celebrating this wonderful new couple.
Thanks for having us guys…we loved it! X
